L ogarithmic power detector (ad8317)
Analog Devices Inc. (ADI) recently released radio frequency (RF) logarithmic detector and controller ad8317. This device can accurately measure RF signal power of all cellular standards, various wireless infrastructures and broadband wireless application frequency ranges from 1MHz to 10GHz. In addition, the device can provide fast output response and complete RF pulse train detection more effectively. It is packaged in 2ram × 3ra m. The ad8317 detector logarithmic amplifier provides accurate RF measurement, and the measurement accuracy is better than that in the dynamic range of more than 50dB ± The output has the function of power controller when adjusting the power amplifier or variable gain amplifier. The wide operating frequency range from 1MHz to 10GHz supports all cellular standards (GSM, CDMA, W-CDMA and TD-SCDMA), broadband wireless standards (802.16, WiMAX, WiBro) and private systems operating in various frequency bands. Ad8317 provides better precision and temperature stability in the temperature range of - 40 ~ C ~ + 85 ℃, and has 5ns fast output response, so it can realize RF pulse train detection over 125MHz. The device has shield shell and anti reverse diode in 3V ~ 5V supply voltage range.

1. Application of the product:
The product is designed with ADI's ad8317 chip, which is used for RF signal power detection. The detection frequency range is 1m-10ghz. It can detect a RF signal with power from - 55dbm to - 0dbm, and convert such RF signal into DC voltage output. The larger the amplitude or power of the RF signal is, the higher the output voltage is. The output voltage is proportional to the logarithm of the amplitude of the input signal, thus expanding the dynamic range of the detected signal, which is up to 55dB.
Baby can be widely used in RF signal detection, signal power measurement, environmental field strength detection, and can also be used as an integral part of automatic gain control and automatic level control.
